A fine carved wooden headrest from the Dinka peoples of Southern Sudan. Inlaid and decorated with aluminum and brass, with a recycled zipper fashioned into a carrying strap. A handle underneath allows it to be used as a shield. A slight curved surface, legs splayed, the headrest displays beautiful form. Circa 20th Century. 13 inches long, 5 inches high, and 3.75 inches wide.
